cutting my teeth on a razor

all anyone could talk about today was my giant bow. thank you, f21. who knew that $4.90 could generate so much enthusiasm? i guess your money really does go farther nowadays.
yesterday a thunderstorm shut the airport down for half an hour. it was gloriously beautiful yet i could never quite capture any strikes.

i was wearing the very first dress i ever bought from violet folklore. i love this dress!
last week i treated myself to my very own copy of "wristcutters" and i'm very very happy i did. if you haven't watched it yet, you suck.

the day after my birthday, i got in my car at 9:30pm and this was the temperature outside. today i wore a wool cloak. how quickly things change.
and this was my birthday party consisting of me, two bottles of wine and a taffeta dress.

but can i just tell you that i got the coolest presents ever? tine sent me a package full of goodies including 1920s looking blotting papers and my favorite tazo tea, nicole a got me the new "grey gardens" dvd with drew barrymore and jessica lange (which is, btw, amazing!!!!!), and nicole j sent me the WKAP alternate tracks and the dvd of videos. i have pictures of all of it and will fill you all in on why the blog disappeared in tomorrow's post.
i'm throwing my hat back in the dating ring. info to follow on that as well, although there isn't actually anything to tell yet.
can i just say how much i've missed blogging? what a crappy thing to be forced to give up even temporarily. i kept seeing stuff i wanted to take pictures of and write about and it felt like my hands were tied. yech.

and no, i never heard back about the job. what's even sadder is they hired a new manager at work and no, it isn't me. i'm scared of being unemployed again yet at the same time, i have so much stuff i'd love to do.

and guess what? i'm going to automne and graham's wedding!!!! yays!!!
'til we blog again, eh?

I'm a little late to the party, but I am so glad you're back. Happy belated birthday! I hope whatever happened to make you scarce has passed.
