oh wow, did they ever have "it." there is nothing not to love about nick and nora charles of "the thin man" films: they are ever so classy, they know how to party, they have the best one liners, they take their dog everywhere, and they are the best dressed couple in history. there is no debate on this point.

so true. nobody could play it like them. usually when i see a great on screen couple, i try to imagine myself as the female. not true with the loy/powell combo - i loved them they way they were. while i envied the nick and nora relationship, i never had the "i would be better for him" complex. ah, myrna loy.
