i love my bed and my bed loves me!

i so could not get out of bed this morning. it was so comfy and there was a soft breeze blowing in the window and i knew i had a million things to do...

however lucy made it her mission to annoy the crap out of me until i had no choice but to get up and start the day. that's her hovering in the left side of the picture. i put a pillow over my face and she started walking on it! grrr...

but happily i got up, got going and completed this gorgeous custom headwrap for the beautiful nicolette. we discovered each other through the incredible sasha and amber of violet folklore fame and recently found out that we have tons more in common than just our mutual friends.

this headwrap is so cool! i love how it turned out and was a great project for my first custom order. i couldn't have asked for a sweeter and cooler gal to work with. yay us!
i was so inspired that i ended up sewing the whole day. i made this headwrap as well as upcycling a pink party dress, fixing a pile of slips whose straps popped off, and altering a crappy h&m dress into a mary quant inspired ipso facto-ish victorian 60s mini. they are such style goddesses, aren't they? plus their music is pretty damn good.
with inspiration like the ipso facto girls, the prospect of wearing black every day isn't so bad. yay lace doilies and crocheted collars!
