tonight we saw such a gorgeous sunset. i never thought i was the kind of person to take pictures of the sunset but here i am taking them. i guess this is part of getting old, appreciating the beauty around me.

the view from the store.

i forgot to put my camera away afterwards so here's a shot of me stocking the color wall before sneaking out. leather jacket weather again, thank you.

that bumper sticker says, "
i'm not a stalker" and i just have to ask why someone needed it. anyone have a clue? maybe it's some inside joke and
i'm just on the outside.
xander's pumpkin has a light inside that changes colors. i wish i
could've gotten a better picture of it.

he put faces on both sides of his dog pumpkin. he loves
halloween. he got mad at me when we were
thrifting because i wouldn't buy him a witch broom. i had been totally scoring all day and hit my $40 limit after a brown wool wiggle dress that fits me perfect, a 1930s turban hat, a wide brimmed black straw hat, a burgundy velvet romper, and two sweater shawls. i still feel guilty about it.

this is where i grew up, on the
kitsap peninsula. my school bus drove down this road every day.

i never thought of myself as a small town girl but i really am.

this is the view from the street i grew up on. across the water are the tall buildings of the city i live in now.

i was going to conquer the world but when the dust settled, i wasn't far from where i started. what happened?
