snow? again? didn't we already go through this? i didn't bother to scrape my windshield either. i just sat in the car with the heater on full blast singing sweet's "love is like oxygen"until it had cleared enough for me to see the road.
i dragged through the day. when i got home, i was seized with the idea to clean and move furniture. what the hell is my problem? oh yeah, it was the look of disgust on my sister's face yesterday when she saw the rats nest i live in. damn her to hell! her and her clean clutter free home...
so i completely shuffled my main room sideways. i moved my siting area to the left side of the room and tried to consolidate the vintage and craft stuff on the other side. holy crap, i have waaaaaaay too much stuff. i got about two hours into it and gave up, limping back to my bed to post this beautiful and pathetic blog.
there are two chairs under that mess. i swear! and how in the hell did i get four guitars, a mandolin and a ukelele? i think i must've robbed someone's tour van while blacked out from pounding tequila or something.
those piles are all clothing, fabric, crafting supplies, houswares, and a desktop computer i haven't switched on since 2005. i see one thing that can get tossed out!
moving those shitty rolling racks was the lamest part. it was like trying to get your drunk friend into a car. they kept veering off in the wrong direction and tipping over at every opportunity. they suck. at least with drunk friends you can steal their boyfriends when they pass out.
oh look! i found linus! i also came across 11 furry mice, two piles of cat puke, what's left of a scratching post, a purple collar with a bell, and piles of loose change.
i vow that i will complete this project by wednesday. i have the day off so i can sleep in, get stuff done, and take my time doing it. yeah, wednesday. sleep now, work later.

So you are back to work? What are you doing with yourself now? Gosh I always hit the snooze button too, love to sleep.
i just had the weekend off but i am still plugging away at luna park. i have to meet with unemployment next week to "discuss my plans to find suitable employment." isn't that rich? like it's my choice to make 1/4 of what i made in 2007. silly unemployment people!
Isn't that unemployment thing demeaning? Geez...
I love your blog. It's like reading a picture story... Too bad it doesn't have "pop-up" pics though. That'd be a hoot. Or better yet, smell-a-vision, a la John Waters. Suh-weet!
50's lamps and furniture envy over here. Cripes! If you ever get a hankering to sell those, or that kickin' 50's horse chair in your living room, give me a holler chica, cuz I'm more than interested.
I am so sorry you've been exhausted lately. Are you getting all your vitamins? How're you feeling lately? You managing okay, honey?
I'm okay. No complaints today. You know who I saw last weekend? The Fleshtones! Ever hear of them? I saw hubby dance like no one was watching. I fell in love with him all over again. So yeah... no complaints.
I think I'll be hearing soon from Loyola as to whether or not I've been reaccepted. Scholarships are almost done, too.
I love you, vintage sister of mine,
D-
the fleshtones!!!!! omigod! how fun is that? i love that chris was dancing. he seems so cool!
i so need to sell off some of my piles-o-crap. it's strange how much i've accumulated over the years. no worries - you will always have first pick.
i just know everything for school is gonna come together. i feel it in my gut! besides, how can someone who remembers the smell-o-vision in "polyester" get any less than the world on a silver platter? it's all happening! patience my gorgeous glamour sister-friend!
loves to you!
