all dressed up...

... and so many places to go! i had errands to run today so i donned my pink gunne from calico vintage picked up my parcels and hit the road.

my first stop was luna park since barry dropped his cigarettes in my car yesterday. i felt so bad when i found them in there this morning. barry's 69 years old and loves his liggetts (though he's surely sick of my "too liggett to quit" joke) and i knew his evening probably sucked when he found his full pack MIA. i went barreling in to the packed restaurant and yelled, "barry, you forgot these on my nightstand last night!"

next stop was the goodwill. i haven't visited in a few weeks since i still have tons of stock to plow through but i found some cute gems today that made the trip worthwhile. i even found some ridiculous items that begged to be photographed.

i have a serious aversion to any garment of clothing with flames on them. my friend and i used to play a game called "he needs a wife." any guy who willingly sported these would've been met with a pitying look and the declaration, "he REALLY needs a wife!" firecrotch.

anyone looking for an imitation kate spade denim purse?

gum wrappers and old receipts are included at no extra charge!

there was this incredibly weird dress i wanted to photograph so badly but some crazy goodwill employee told me i couldn't take pictures in the store. bitch. i also wanted to sneak a picture of this super hot mod guy picking through the mens stuff. he had buddy holly glasses, floppy hair, and he appeared to be about my age even. didn't spot a wedding ring, either. we kept kinda bumping into each other at the end of aisles but neither of us ever spoke. i couldn't even make eye-contact, i'm such a wimp!!! *sigh* we were probably meant for each other, too.

after the goodwill, i had to hit target for some storage containers. i am truly working to clean up my sewing/craft area and my vintage piles. i love target way too much. i'm addicted to their boxed meals like the tikka masala and vindaloo. they are vegetarian, healthy-ish, and way cheaper than eating at the maharaja. of course, the maha does have some amazing entertainment if you're lucky enough to hit the bar at just the right time. the drunks get pretty wild and often dance on the tables to pussycat dolls songs. truly an experience you will not soon forget since you just can't un-see some things.

i ran to the post office on my way home and shipped out my first international package. thank god i was actually charged what i was quoted at the usps web site. i was scared!

every now and then i crave really horribly unhealthy food. i eat it, enjoy it, then get overwhelmingly guilty about an hour later, realizing how much crap i just ingested. mcdonalds is always there to help me feel crappy about what i ate but i have to give them props for their new mini meals. so nice to eat micro amounts of processed food as opposed to the mother load of shit they usually pack into their value meals. mmmmmmm... mcchicken tastes good....

my sister is gonna go to hydro-fit with me tonight. it will be the first time i've gone swimming with another person. i'm super excited about it but i also realized she'll see my legs. this isn't a fat thing, it's a cutting thing. last winter when i was killing myself working at nordstrom, i started slicing my legs with a razor blade as a way to punish myself for my perceived failures. although therapy and medication helped me to get over that symptom of my borderline personality disorder, i have some gnarly scars: rows of horizontal slices cover the tops of both thighs. they're not super noticable but my sister will notice. i hid so much from my family. only two people in my family even know about my last "attempt" and i want to keep it from my mother and grandparents so so terribly. i think sis will respect that. let's hope so.

(if you look under the coffee table, you can see linus sneaking into the pictures. that little turd!)
