please allow me to share the amazing picture automne drew on my envelope. how perfect is that? linus and lucy were so happy they were included, too. i adore it!
i slept in until 10 this morning. i f
eel lazy as hell, even though i have been known to sleep in until 7p on occasion. i guess 10 isn't so bad.
i'm still watching dario argento flicks while i sew. last night it was "the cat o' nine tails" which stars karl malden and is from 1971. malden plays a blind amateur detective who ends up tracking some crazed slasher killer who's taking out geneticists and the people connected to them. it was argento's feature film debut. my god, the clothes are so unbelieva
ble. meow! in one scene, miss blonde trampy heiress to the genetics institute fortune is wearing a pink get-up with ribbons that lace down her arms. i couldn't find a full picture of it so this one will have to suffice. can you believe that hair?
i love the italy that exists in arg
ento films - everyone speaks english all the time (even if they have to be overdubbed), there are killers everywhere, women go to college classes with cats, houses have secret rooms in the basements, midgets and robotic midgets run amok, etc. can someone please make italy the way argento portrays it and have me shipped over there? one way?
i took some outside pictures today. i finally found a spot on the porch where i can set the camera and get a good view of the yard. granted the yard is quite a mess! you can barely see our lawn (the brown mossy mess that it is) through all the tree branches and twigs that have blown over it during our crazy storms. we get mad windstorms in the pacific northwest. they are so cool, especially up in my attic! when books describe the wind moaning, i know exactly what they mean. it's eerie and ghostly and so incredibly supernatural that i imagine all kinds of strange spirits are pounding on my windows, begging for me to let them in and allow them to share their tales of woe with me. wow, i sound kinda creepy and crazy. oh yeah, i am!
i'm gonna drag the space heater out into my sewing room and slave the rest of the day away. my goal is to have everything completed and at least half of it photographed by midnight. if i can spend tomorrow morning posting, i may have enough time left over to have a little bit of a rest before i return to work on monday. here's hoping...
