I wrote this song two hours before we met

i passed a burrito wagon on the freeway while i drove to work yesterday. painted on the side was "r.c. catering." i'd like to believe that the r.c. stood for "roach coach" just because it really should have.

dead kitty and i played in the sunshine yesterday while linus and lucy watched angrily from the windows. sorry, guys. dead kitty has outside privileges because he doesn't puke grass on the rug when he comes back in. something to consider.

i worked in the office today and it's weird being there alone, especially knowing that a month ago there was a dead body down the hall. i sorta hoped the dead guy was haunting the place (his smell certainly does - he was there for two weeks before being discovered) but i didn't find any evidence of it today. i wish it had been a more exciting day but it was just data entry and a missed connection with a friend who's up from portland. i do hope i can see her before she leaves tomorrow.

i watched pandora's box when i got home and have now decided that i'll recreate one of lulu's dance costumes for my halloween costume. people will probably think i'm a ziegfeld girl (or whatever the common heathen equates the ziegfeld look with) but i'll know who i am. plus i'll get to wear sequins, tulle and taffeta ruffles, and a feather headdress. i wish i could find a better picture of the headdress, but this was all i could get:

i'm also pretty enthralled with the dress she wore in the first act. i love white flowy dresses. wonder if i could replicate it....hmmm... something to do in my lack of spare time.


did you notice i'm wearing a blue dress again? actually, i wore a red one today but didn't take any pictures. i had no idea i owned so many blue dresses. this one has the animals for noah's ark embroidered on it. i love it.
