and she gave away the secrets of her past

i'm a little out of breath because i was playing joy division and jumping on my bed. again. i get all whimsical anytime i wear my blue gunne sax dress. i think it brings out the little girl in me. my mom used to get us gunnes when we were kids and can i tell you how much i adored them? sadly, i became too cool for gunne sax when i got into eighth grade. what a fool i was.

i google image searched gunne sax dresses and this picture of sasha was one of the first to pop up. my friend is famous! and gorgeous to boot. i love you, sasha! hugs to you and chris!
saturday was the breaking point for my hair. i nearly took scissors to it myself. look at how shaggy it was: ugh. it drove me nuts.me hiding in the bushes in my dead kitty dress.

thankfully i got it all chopped yesterday morning. i even dyed it a deep burgundy brown. yay! feeling human again.
parking at the end of the runway kinda sucks. i get scared a plane is gonna crash into my car. i really don't need my insurance rates to increase any more.

have i mentioned my recent addiction to absinthe? yeah, it's probably the way it was romanticized while it was illegal that drew me in, but i swear there's crack in it. i fall asleep craving it nearly every night and when i get some, i almost cry at the pure bliss of the first sip. oh, green fairy, what have you done to me? i've never loved any alcohol like i love this. good thing the pure strength of the drink keeps me from consuming too much.absinthe and gunne sax and joy division and short hair. life is good.

I've always wanted to try absinthe, haven't gotten around to doing it yet. I'm such a lightweight I'm afraid of what might happen :/

don't be afraid - just louche it heavily and you'll be fine! the anise flavor is pretty heavy if you don't drip the water slowly over the sugar. most bars that serve it have absinthe fountains so just slow the valve to a trickle and all will be well. you have to try it - it's wonderful!
