"I have no makeup on... but things are getting better!"

the days when i don't post pictures, i've either refrained from bathing and dressing at all (one of the perks of being pathetically unemployed) or i'm dressed like this in a strange outfit consisting of whatever was within reach of my bed.
i love to button the buttons into the wrong holes when i wear this sweater. it makes it more comfy. these kinda days i avoid wearing makeup but i still apply lipstick after i dry my hair. no explanation.

the gal who works the ticket booth at the southworth ferry dock is so sweet. for years she's been a little ray of sunshine when i drive through. last week when i was coming home from the funeral, she had a treat for me. this gorgeous 1940s dress (above) and this stunning peignoir set (below). can you believe that? what an absolute doll. i heart her for thinking of me.

i'm getting really good at dropping my coffee on the porch. this is the second time in two weeks. sad, isn't it?
don't even get me started on the phone book. can't we make them stop coming?
laziness exhibit a.
i didn't wanna fold last weeks laundry so i left it in the basket and carried this weeks down in a goodwill bag. it reminds me of when i used to haul it over to mom and dads in giant urban outfitters bags.
i wish that i looked like this when i did house work.

but instead i look like this.
my new favorite song to play in the game is the live version of "sweet home alabama." that one kicks yer ass.
playing guitar hero makes the laundry wash faster. especially if you scream. this is a proven fact.
every now and then, linus tries to "mount" lucy. he doesn't really know what he's doing (thank god!) and he has no reason to do it at all - they're both fixed. this is what it looks like right before i yell, "get off your sister!!!!!!!!" and smack him across the bed. lucy cries. tears actually come out. she hates it.
i'm starting to wonder if it's weird that i laugh at goths but not steampunks. maybe as the subculture becomes more prevalent and there are more people like this running around, i'll be an equal opportunity mocker.
nice spats, loser.
see, i'm trying!

this story about a goth dude's ejection from a bus for having his girlfriend on a leash is making me laugh. but i bet it made him sad. so sad. and melancholy.
my mom used to remind me that dressing weird gets you attention - often bad. if you're gonna push societal norms with something you DO have control over, be prepared to deal with the consequences. i think these two loved the attention. don't you?
my blythe love of the day - takara neo veronica lace blythe.
i think i love her. and a steal at $300. i think i'll take two!
