cold and rainy

i couldn't even get out of bed today. my arthritis gets horrible in the rain so i had to take my stronger meds, meaning i doze off at random intervals. believe me, there is no need for a photograph of my daily outfit consisting of sweats and a t shirt!

my repose did allow me a chance to catch up on my netflix movies (why do i choose 5 at a time?) and update my etsy favorites. when the mail came, i was so happy that my package came from amelia in austin with all three copies of her "doublespeak" zine inside. i'm too zonked to read any real books so the digestible bits of lovely she has compiled in bite size morsels are especially appealing today.


my meds give me some weird dreams. i dozed off at one point with my louise brooks picture book on my tummy and had a dream about going to school with her. i dreamt my sister was driving me to the community college but i wasn't ready - i was still in my sweats (guilt from my day in bed, i suppose) and i didn't want to get out if the car. i was so scared louise would see me like that and decide i was unworthy of her friendship or something. my sister kicked me out of the car anyway so i ran down a hill to a creek that flowed under some of the buildings to hide. problem was there was a giant alligator in the creek and the only thing that stood between me and him was a four-foot flimsy chain link fence. i really don't remember anything much after that point. some other odd dream aspect will creep back up on me when i least expect it, i'm sure.



i am dying to post my halloween pictures on here. i slaved over

my corpse bride costume and want to show it off so badly but the cable to upload from that camera is missing. i ordered a new one from amazon but its arrival is still days away. a week before halloween i was invited to my friend jonelle's party. my costume wasn't done yet so i improvised and went as "dead bride" as opposed to "corpse bride." two other brides showed up at the party so we were forced to fight for bride supremacy. i didn't stand a chance - they were bigger. i'll post the finished pictures as soon as i can.

in the meantime i've still got three movies to finish before the day is over and sleeptime zonks me out again. hopefully tomorrow i can get up and get dressed!
