super TRENDY cute 1950 60 70 DRESS skirt TUNIC pants HAT swing rockabilly disco gothic steampunk MUST SEE wow L@@K!!!!!!

everyone who knows me is fully aware of my etsy addiction. i adore etsy. you can find the neatest creations, most perfect vintage, haunting art, etc etc etc. although i have nothing but love in my heart for etsy, i have discovered an inherent evil growing ever more imposing. my biggest pet peeve is the attempted incorporation of ebay culture into my etsy world!

i hate ebay. i hate how vultures invariably steal my treasures with their "bots" outbidding my highest bid in the last 5 seconds of an auction. i hate "reserves" that jack the price up outside of my allowance, luring me in with $0.01 staring bids. i hate the cheesy borders with dancing flowers that take 10 minutes to load, even though i have a cable internet connection. but above all else, i HATE HATE HATE the ridiculous all-encompassing title lines that allow the item to pop up in nearly every search possibility imaginable to man!

i have seen these moronic travesties and murderous slaughters of the english language occur more and more on etsy. i wish i could just block these sellers out, keep them from creeping into my shopping experience. i want to write them nasty letters, pointing out their grammatical inconsistencies, and urging them to go back to ebay hell where devils like them belong. it is so rare that an item can truly live up to all the promises these midway barkers make. it's just false advertising. and it is SO FRIGGING ANNOYING! call a spade a spade. is it a dress? then just SAY SO! is it 60s? then don't say it's 70s 80s 40s 623037s!!!!!!!!!! and whatever you do, don't don't don't use that stupid L@@K thing. it only serves to discredit your store and self.

now that i've gotten that out of the way, i have to share some amazingly cool stuff i've found on etsy lately. these are things that i can't get for myself but hope someone snatches up before they expire.

this adorable dress is way too small for me but doesn't it look fantastic? i've bought several things from GreenDragonLady and can attest to the fact that she is a wonderful seller. snatch this one up for only $17.50 here http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=cat3_gallery_10&listing_id=17238297

once again way too small but cute enough to make me wanna shrink! SailorPinkVintage is another seller i've had stellar dealings with and whose praises i will sing to any who will listen. this one is a splurge at $120, but it's well worth that and more. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=cat3_gallery_10&listing_id=17204159

ah, my lady fortuna! MmeFortuna has become a dear friend to me since i started collecting her work just over a year ago. i have a piece that is a sister to this one and i wear it quite often, always attracting attention and compliments. this is one i may snag for myself but i'm doing my best to give someone else a chance at her. only $86 and it is truly an heirloom piece. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=15262899

i love this hat. love. yes, i said it. i LOVE this hat! if i was on oprah, i'd be jumping on a couch while i declared my love for this hat from vintagious. it's only $22 and in MINT condition. why am i not buying it, you ask? linus eats fur. i've tried locking stuff up but he has opposing thumbs and can open doors, boxes, and even my craft suitcases, which were once filled with feather birds and butterflies and scraps of rabbit pelt. let my loss be your gain. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=cat3_gallery_19&listing_id=16986845

dollfacedesign features layla's wondrous art, her headcase series being my favorite. wouldn't these be perfect in a bedroom filled with vintage? $70 gets you your four favorites series or you can buy them individually. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=13066738

i'm still super sick, btw. when i cough it sounds like a barking dog and linus glares at me. lucy is doubling as a hot water bottle on my aching chest and cory is threatening to come take care of my if i don't pull out of this soon. gotta love them all!

How sweet of you to write this. 50's = steampunk, etc etc ad nauseum, is not only annoying but totally inaccurate. But they're trying to corner the market. Feh. Poo. I have a hard enough time making sales period, to have these goobers stealing the show...

This entry makes me love and appreciate you all the more. Amen.
