the fog was so thick this morning that i couldn't see my car from the porch. i tried to take a picture but i forgot to turn the flash off and the resulting light reflected off the individual water droplets in the fog. i liked it so much that i posted it anyway. isn't it spooky?
it was very warm again today. during a lull in business, i sat on the cement steps beside luna letting the sun warm me. a gust of wind came up suddenly and i looked upwards but all i could see was a blizzard of red and gold leaves against the background of clear blue sky. i felt so humbled. it was such a perfect moment that i feel blissful just recalling it.
around 9a, a large group of people appeared outside the front of luna. no one came in but they were all posing in front of the restaurant and having their picture taken. then they left. about 10 minutes later some more people showed up. one person from the group came in and asked cassi if she'd take their picture. they told her it was for a scavenger hunt. over the next few hours a few more groups trickled by, asking us to photograph them. none of them purchased anything and all of the ones i dealt with were rude and snotty. one lady even rolled her eyes at me when i told her i was busy at the moment but could do it in a few minutes if she didn't mind waiting.
i'm all for fun and games but we are a place of business. they should have been respectful of that fact. i want to find out who they were or where they were from just so i can share that with them if anyone knows, i'd be much obliged.
speaking of fun and games, sharon brought this wacky game down called "apples to apples." me, her, barry, cassi, gail and john (one of our regulars) played it during the afternoon dead zone. i pretty much suck at describing it but it was a lot of fun.
yep, that's pretty much the extent of today.
oh - nicole saw the creepy naked doll up on top of the beer fridge as soon as she walked in. she threw it into the closet under the stairs and shuddered involuntarily. i'll have to set it up in the walk-in fridge next time...

Hey that naked doll isn't creepy, it's just naked. LOL @ being creeped out, eh?

Rude punks trying to get their pics taken in front of the store. Duh, hello, yo! Trying to run a business here?!

You looked DOPE! Gorgeous, ma'am, but do tell... do you take a camera with you to work? I always feel weird when I have a camera in tow, like I'm going to forget it or something. Bah.

Hope you are hanging in there, dollie! Love and hugs...

i have two digital cameras in my purse everyday. one is my pink casio and it's the main one i use for snapping the photos. the other is my sony gc1 which i use to film stuff. the silly thing is that each of them can be used to take video and photo but i prefer to use each for its specially designed purpose.

ooooooh those scavengers made me so mad. the sickest part was that they seemed as though they should know better. they were all adults, conservatively dressed, and giving off the appearance that this was an office team building exercise. i'm gonna find them and do the same thing at their place of work.

and the doll is really really creepy when you see it in real life - i swear!

sasha - that dress was $1.29 at the goodwill! total score, huh? the only sad thing was that halfway through the day, i tugged at a loose thread on the side seam of the skirt. big mistake - the seam came out from just below the peplum to halfway down my thigh! i laughed and stitched it up when i got home. just 10 seconds on my machine! thank goodness my mother taught me to always wear a nice slip.
